Jaipur Farmhouses: Fifteen Properties, and Not One Like Another
Jaipur's private stays are unusually varied — Swiss tents, machaans, event lawns and countryside farmhouses. A guide to the areas, prices and what each is for.
Jaipur has fifteen properties on our platform and they are, by some distance, the least uniform set in any of our markets. One has Swiss tents. One is built around a machaan overlooking a pool. One sits on fifteen bighas with event lawns rated for two thousand people. There is no "typical Jaipur farmhouse", which makes browsing here more interesting and slightly harder.
The season also matters. Like Udaipur, Jaipur runs on a hard calendar — October to March is the time to be there, and the rates and availability move accordingly.
The ring around the city
The properties sit on the roads out of Jaipur rather than in one belt, which is the same pattern as Ahmedabad but with more of them. Going clockwise: Sikar Road and Jobner Road to the north-west, Ajmer Road and Bhankrota to the west, Chaksu to the south, Jamdoli and Kanota to the east on the Agra road, and Kho Nagoriyaan and Ring Road closer in. Nevta Lake and Mundota sit south-west, near the Amer side. Distances are mostly twenty-five to forty-five minutes, which is a shorter ring than Delhi's or Hyderabad's. Jaipur is a compact city and its farmhouses reflect that — you are not committing to a long drive in either direction.

The properties that show the range
The Blue Door, Bhankrota
Three bedrooms with attached washrooms, a living room with sunk seating, a private 12×24 pool with a kids' section, a garden, a swing area, and indoor and outdoor games. The distinguishing feature is an open machaan with a pool and sky view, with a small open kitchen in the machaan area alongside a commercial kitchen. Fifteen guests, ₹7,919 midweek — the value end of the Jaipur set, and one of the more photogenic properties on the platform.
Julie, Chaksu
A 4BHK villa for eighteen with an unusual layout: two luxurious Swiss tents alongside two rooms in the main building, king-size beds throughout, a private bar, a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious lawn. ₹13,200 midweek, ₹16,720 at weekends, with no per-person charge — which for a group of eighteen makes it considerably cheaper than the headline suggests. It is one of the most permissive properties in our Rajasthan inventory on food and drink.
Sanskriti, Ajmer Road
Fifteen bighas of countryside with three air-conditioned bedrooms, a swimming pool, a grand temple within the property, landscaped gardens, and — the reason it exists — three tiers of event lawn: a poolside lawn for up to fifty, a medium event lawn for up to four hundred, and a large event lawn rated for two thousand. ₹10,560 midweek. This is a wedding and function venue with accommodation attached, not a weekend house. Alcohol is permitted; it is a vegetarian property.
Jaishingpura
A 2BHK farmhouse for eight with a large private swimming pool, a fully equipped kitchen and green outdoor space. The small-group option, at ₹13,200 midweek.
What the inventory looks like as a whole
- Twelve of fifteen are farmhouses, with two villas and a resort.
- Eleven have a private pool, seven have a kids' pool, and twelve have a kids' play area — this is a family-oriented market.
- The median sits around ₹8,800, with the range running from about ₹1,800 to ₹13,200. That makes Jaipur meaningfully cheaper than Udaipur, where the median is ₹13,200 and the top end reaches ₹44,000.
- Capacities run four to thirty, mostly in the ten-to-eighteen band. For a function above thirty you are looking at the event-lawn properties rather than the villas.
Season and timing
October through March is when Jaipur works. November to February is peak — pleasant days, cold nights, and heavy competition from the wedding season, which takes the larger properties first and books them months ahead.
Two consequences. If your booking is for a function between November and February, treat the lead time as months rather than weeks. And if you are flexible, October and March are the underrated months: the weather is good, the wedding demand has not arrived or has passed, and the rates are ordinary.
Summer is genuinely difficult here. From April to June a Jaipur farmhouse without effective air conditioning is not a pleasant booking, and a pool without shade is not a solution. Check the AC coverage room by room rather than assuming.

Work the total out for your actual headcount before comparing these. Above roughly twenty guests the per-person charge reorders the list more often than not.
The wedding-season problem
Jaipur's farmhouse market has a competitor that most of our other markets do not: the wedding industry, which wants exactly the same properties.
From late November through February, and again in a shorter window around April, the larger properties with event lawns are booked months ahead for functions. Sanskriti on Ajmer Road is the clearest case — with a poolside lawn for fifty, a medium lawn for four hundred and a large lawn rated for two thousand, it is a wedding venue that also takes weekend bookings, not the other way round.
The consequences for an ordinary booking are worth planning around. Treat the peak months as requiring two to three months' notice for anything above fifteen guests. Consider the smaller properties, which weddings do not want — the 2BHK at Jaishingpura or The Blue Door at Bhankrota sit below the threshold. And look hard at October, early November and March, which are excellent months in Jaipur and comparatively free.
What makes the Jaipur inventory unusual
Most markets on the platform have a house style. Jaipur does not, and that is its most interesting feature.
Within fifteen properties you have Swiss tents pitched alongside a main building, an open machaan overlooking a pool, whitewashed cottages with blue doors, a fifteen-bigha property with a temple and three tiers of event lawn, and conventional modern farmhouses. There is no equivalent spread in Surat or Delhi NCR, where the properties converge on a type.
Practically, this means browsing by photograph is more useful here than filtering by specification. Two Jaipur properties at the same price and capacity can offer completely different weekends, and the amenity list will not tell you which is which.
It also means the aesthetic-led bookings — shoots, milestone birthdays, anything where the photographs matter — have better options here than the price band would suggest.
The summer warning
Jaipur has the harshest off-season of any market we list, and it is worth being blunt about it. From April through June, daytime temperatures make an outdoor property genuinely difficult. A lawn is unusable from eleven to six. A pool without shade is warm rather than refreshing by mid-afternoon. And a room without effective air conditioning is not a room you will sleep in. If you are booking in those months — and there are good reasons to, since rates fall and availability opens up — check the air conditioning room by room rather than trusting the amenity list, ask whether the pool has any shade structure, and plan the day around a late-evening and early-morning rhythm rather than an afternoon one. Between October and March, none of this applies and Jaipur is close to ideal. The season is short, well-known and priced accordingly, which is the whole reason to book it early.

The whole property is reserved for your group. The listings state this explicitly and the property FAQs repeat it — you are not sharing a pool or a lawn with another booking.
Can I bring my own food, or use the kitchen?+
It depends on the property, and these are two separate permissions. Some allow outside food but not cooking; some hand you an active kitchen with utensils; a few cater in-house and do not permit outside food at all. Every listing states which applies.
